About

What laser therapy covers for pain and recovery

Laser therapy uses focused light as one part of a chiropractic treatment plan. The goal is to support care for symptoms such as pain, tenderness, or limited movement, based on the patient's needs. We begin with a health history and exam. X-rays may be used if clinically indicated. Then we explain the findings, discuss suitable options, and set a plan that matches the patient's goals. Results vary. Laser therapy isn't a cure, and it isn't suitable for every concern. A progress re-examination helps us measure changes in symptoms, movement, and daily function before we decide what comes next.

Process

How we plan and review light-based treatment

1

Health history and exam

We ask about symptoms, past injuries, health history, and daily limits. This gives us context before we discuss laser therapy.

2

Suitability discussion

We explain whether light-based treatment fits the findings and goals. We also discuss other services, such as rehabilitation or soft tissue therapy, when relevant.

3

Treatment plan

We create an individualized plan and explain what the patient should expect. The plan stays within our professionals' scope of practice.

4

Progress re-examination

We review symptom changes, movement, and daily function. Those findings help us decide whether to continue, adjust, or broaden the care plan.

What to prepare before a light-based care visit

A few details can help us understand your symptoms and choose the right evaluation.

  • Bring a list of current symptoms and where they occur.
  • Note activities that increase or reduce your discomfort.
  • Share relevant injury, medical, and treatment history.
  • Write down your main recovery or daily movement goal.

Questions patients ask about light-based chiropractic care

Who provides laser therapy at your Atlanta clinic?

Arrowhead Clinic Chiropractor Atlanta provides laser therapy within individualized chiropractic care plans. We begin with a health history and exam, then explain whether this option fits your symptoms and goals. Our licensed chiropractic professionals explain the expected process in plain language. Individual response differs, so we review progress before recommending changes to care.

Does laser therapy hurt?

Laser therapy is designed as a light-based treatment, and patient comfort is part of our discussion. We ask about your symptoms and explain what you may notice during care. Tell us if a sensation feels uncomfortable or changes. We’ll review your response and decide whether the treatment remains suitable for your plan.

What decides the cost of laser therapy?

The care plan, evaluation needs, and services selected affect what you pay for treatment. We don’t publish a price for laser therapy because each plan is individualized. Free consultations are available for prospective chiropractic patients. We can explain what the recommended care includes before you decide whether to proceed.

Can I get a same-day appointment for laser therapy?

Same-day appointments are available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 7 PM. Appointment availability still depends on the clinic schedule and the care needed. We review your symptoms before treatment, so the visit starts with an appropriate evaluation. Walk-in appointments are also available at our Atlanta location.

What happens during the first visit?

The first visit includes a new patient intake, health history, and exam before we recommend care. We may use digital or 3D X-ray technology if clinically indicated. Then we explain the findings and discuss a personalized treatment plan. Bring your symptom history and any relevant injury details so we can understand your goals.

Can laser therapy replace spinal adjustments?

Laser therapy does not automatically replace spinal adjustments because each service addresses a different part of a care plan. Light-based treatment supports one type of clinical goal, while an adjustment uses hands-on joint movement. We compare options after the evaluation. Your plan may include one service or several, depending on the findings.

Scenarios

When Customers Call Us About Laser Therapy

1

Pain After Physical Activity

Pain after sports or exercise can affect movement long after the activity ends. The key issue is whether the symptoms fit light-based care or need another form of evaluation. Bring details about the activity, pain pattern, and limits you notice. We’ll review those points and explain whether laser therapy belongs in your personalized care plan.

2

Unclear Recovery After Injury

An injury can leave you unsure which treatment fits your symptoms. Laser therapy may be discussed after we review the affected area, health history, and daily limits. Bring any records you have and describe what has changed since the injury. We’ll explain the findings and outline practical next steps during the consultation.

3

Concern About Treatment Fit

Some patients want cost clarity and a clear reason for each treatment before they begin. We start with an evaluation and explain the role of light-based care in plain language. Ask about the treatment plan, progress checks, and other services that may fit your goals. Free consultations are available for prospective chiropractic patients.
