Why does neck pain keep happening after a car accident?

Neck pain can continue after a crash because whiplash affects muscles, joints, and movement patterns. An evaluation checks the injury history, neck range of motion, tenderness, and related symptoms. Headaches, shoulder pain, or arm symptoms add useful detail. Seek urgent medical care for severe weakness, loss of coordination, or other serious warning signs.

How We Serve Clients in Jonesboro

Auto accident injury treatment focuses on what changed after a collision. The first visit connects the crash history to symptoms such as whiplash, back pain, sciatica, headaches, or shoulder pain.

The key decision is whether the findings call for chiropractic care, rehabilitation, imaging, or another form of medical attention. We review the report of findings with you and build a personalized treatment plan around your exam, goals, and daily activities.

This page serves people who need an accident-focused evaluation, not a general wellness visit. If symptoms suggest a condition outside chiropractic care, we explain the concern and the next appropriate step.

  • Bring the date and type of collision, if known.
  • List the body areas that hurt or feel restricted.
  • Share changes in sleep, work, exercise, or daily movement.
  • Tell us about prior injuries, current care, and relevant health history.
  • Ask how examination findings shape the treatment plan.

Service Overview

Auto accident injury treatment is a chiropractic care process that evaluates and addresses pain or movement problems after a collision.

  • Our team provides this care for patients in Jonesboro through the Arrowhead Clinic location on Cascade Road.

What the Evaluation Helps You Decide

A structured exam helps connect neck pain, back pain, whiplash, or sciatica to the collision history.

Range testing shows which movements need attention during care planning.

A report of findings gives you a clearer view of the recommended next step.

Individual goals and daily activities shape the care plan.

Regular maintenance may support ongoing movement goals after the active care phase.

When this service is the right fit

A driver in Jonesboro develops neck stiffness and shoulder pain after a collision. We review the crash history, test neck movement, check related areas, and consider digital or 3D X-rays when clinically indicated. The findings help decide whether chiropractic care fits the situation or whether another medical evaluation is needed.

What Patients Get From This Approach

A collision-focused first visit

The evaluation centers on the accident, symptoms, movement, and health history. You receive findings that guide the next care decision, not a generic wellness discussion.

Care matched to the exam

Spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation, or corrective exercises are considered according to your needs and goals.

Clear limits on chiropractic care

This service is not the right job for every serious injury. Severe symptoms or concerns outside chiropractic care need prompt medical attention, and we do not promise a specific outcome.

Process

How We Evaluate Accident-Related Injuries

1

Record the injury history

We ask about the collision, symptoms, prior injuries, daily limits, and changes since the accident.

2

Complete the physical examination

We examine the affected areas and look for signs that help explain pain, stiffness, or altered movement.

3

Test range of motion

Range testing shows which movements are limited or painful and adds detail to the examination.

4

Review imaging needs

We consider digital or 3D X-rays when clinically indicated, then explain what the findings mean for care.

5

Build the care plan

We discuss the report of findings and choose suitable options, which may include adjustments, rehabilitation, massage therapy, physical therapy, decompression, or corrective exercises.

Choosing the Right Next Step After a Collision

These options address different needs, so the examination helps identify the appropriate next step.

I really appreciate the fact that they have later hours of operation. Their hours accomodate my visits very nicely. Additionally, when I get there the lovely ladies at the front desk are always, professional, welcoming and pleasant to deal with. The doctor also has a great bedside manner and they are ALL easy on the eyes, so if there is a bright spot in the rotten car accident that I had it is the fact that I get to interact with the lovely ladies of Arrowhead Clinic Cascade.

Questions About Accident Injury Evaluations

What happens during an auto accident injury evaluation?

Imaging referral supports the evaluation when clinical findings show that digital or 3D X-rays could help. Arrowhead Clinic Chiropractor Atlanta also reviews your injury history, completes a physical exam, and tests range of motion. The clinician then explains the report of findings and discusses a personalized care plan. The visit focuses on symptoms linked to the collision.

What should be ready before accident injury care starts?

Accident details, current symptoms, prior injuries, and daily limits help prepare for care. Bring any records you have and note when pain, stiffness, headaches, or numbness began. A clear history helps connect the collision to the exam findings. We then discuss suitable treatment options and any need for further evaluation.

Which condition changes the time needed for an accident injury evaluation?

The number of affected body areas can change the time needed for an evaluation. Neck pain with shoulder symptoms may require different testing from low back pain with sciatica. Prior injuries and changing symptoms also add useful detail. We review the findings before recommending care, so the plan matches the examination.

Why might digital or 3D X-rays be considered after a collision?

Digital or 3D X-rays may be considered when examination findings show that imaging could clarify the care decision. They can add information about the area involved, but they do not replace the injury history or physical exam. We explain why imaging is relevant before using it and connect the findings to the treatment plan.

How should I compare chiropractic care with physical therapy after a crash?

Chiropractic care and physical therapy use different treatment approaches, so the examination and your goals guide the choice. Our plan may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy, rehabilitation, or corrective exercises. We discuss which options fit the findings and daily needs. Severe or unusual symptoms may require medical care beyond this service.

What should a customer ask before agreeing to accident injury care?

Ask what the examination found, which treatments fit those findings, and how progress will be checked. Also ask whether imaging is clinically indicated and which symptoms need medical attention. A clear discussion should cover goals, care options, and limits. We explain the report of findings before setting an individualized plan.

When can same-day appointments help after a collision?

Same-day appointments can help patients discuss new collision-related symptoms without waiting for a later visit. Our location offers same-day appointments Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 7 PM. The visit still begins with an injury history and examination. Severe symptoms need urgent medical care instead of relying on a chiropractic appointment.
